On the list of Things You Shouldn't Tweet, right after "What you had for breakfast" and "How ill you're feeling", sits a simple genre: sexist jokes. But it seems 17-year-old Jackson Murphy didn't get the memo, after he tweeted a disrespectful joke about (and @) comedian Amy Schumer.
Murphy, an aspiring film critic, captioned a selfie with the star: "Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that.”
Schumer shot him down immediately with: "I get it. Cause I'm a whore? Glad I took a photo with you. Hi to your dad."
Murphy then deleted the tweet and apologised.
“That’s really okay honey. I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that,” Schumer replied.
So honestly, we've all learnt something here, haven't we? HAVEN'T WE? Phew. Now there'll be no more sexist jokes on the internet ever again. Glad we got that sorted.
Catch Series 3 of Inside Amy Schumer on Comedy Central, Mondays at 11pm.
