Jimmy Carr On Your Face Or Mine Couples Fighting, Crying & Breaking Up

It all gets a little too much.

We all know Your Face Or Mine can get pretty savage.

Comedy Central

We mean, who wouldn’t be offended if their partner found their EX hotter than them?

But as it turns out, couples who appear on the show don’t just get offended… they get mad. REAL MAD. They cry. They scream. And they actually break up.

As Katherine Ryan and Jimmy Carr revealed, it’s not all fun and games.

Ryan told Digital Spy:

"There was some crying [in one episode], and someone left the stage. We did not show that. We've had some rows after the fact. We need to do a follow-up and see which couples stick together or not. And maybe offer some post-show counselling or something?

The crying was the worst one. Everybody cried that day. But you'll never see that."

Carr then revealed that one married couple even BROKE UP:

"I mean, they got back together. But a married couple broke up directly afterwards, and it looked like they were not going to get back together. It was pretty heavy. It was fine, in the end, just a bit much on the day!"

This is a whole new level of savage. Carr added:

“If you've got the same sense of humour as your partner, you're fine. I think in the long-term, it's fine. If you laugh together, you'll last together."

You’d think people would know what they’re signing up for, you know, after two whole series…

"Yeah, but people are idiots. The worst thing is when you get someone who's quite good looking but a bit arrogant. The audience just takes against them – 'Oh, you think you're all that?'

In this era of Snapchat and Tinder and Instagram, it feels like judging people's looks instantly is something that people are so good at now!”

But that doesn’t take away from the fact that YFOM is hilarious:

"Your Face or Mine is an interesting show, we play by slightly different rules. We're allowed to talk about people's looks on a show in a way that's maybe not the most PC. But it's really, really fun!"

You can catch Your Face Or Mine Wednesdays at 9pm on Comedy Central.
