Donkey Cheese Made From Actual Donkeys Could Help You Lose Weight

If it's good enough for Cleopatra...

You love cheese. We love cheese. Everyone loves cheese. But here’s a slice of creamy goodness we probably won’t be tucking into anytime soon.

Pule, made from actual milk from actual donkeys, is the very latest in ridiculous health fads.

Why? You ask. Well, it’s incredibly healthy. High in protein, calcium and omega 3 fatty acids, it’s low in fat and has 60 times more Vitamin C than a regular block of good old fashioned cheddar. So the science checks out.

And it’s delicious too. It has a rich, nutty, earthy flavour and a crumbly texture. Plus, legend has it that Egyptian Queen Cleopatra liked to bathe in it, so there’s that.

The bad news though, is that it’s really fucking expensive. Donkey cheese is currently made by just one farm in Serbia, and costs £880 per kilo. £880!

Well, that’s killed our dreams of an exotic cheeseboard this Christmas.
