We spent our awkward teen years smoking our parents' cigarettes under 'the drinking tree' in a local park, trying to mack on that hottie from Science class.
Now teens prefer to follow and capture furry animals around on their mobile phones, stand still like mannequins and, uh, throw backpacks at eachother. Go figure.
Is it a reaction to the digital age, this 24 hour culture that places unique pressures on individuals never before seen in human history? A middle finger up at the society that wants us to grow up, but won't help us buy houses or get out of student debt?
