Friends Creator On Reunion Talk: "People Will Only End Up Feeling Disappointed"

This may not ever happen, folks.

Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman has never been big on the idea of a reunion, and she's back at it again laying waste to our hopes and dreams.

While appearing at the Austin Film Festival as part of a panel celebrating Friends, Kauffman said that a reunion wouldn't work well for the series.

“The show is about that time in your life when your friends are your family — that’s what the show was about,” she said, adding that when Monica and Chandler started a family in the finale, it marked an end to that time.

More than that, she thought a reunion wouldn't make fans happy. “They’d all be older, and it wouldn’t be the same, and people will only end up feeling disappointed, and then I’ll be embarrassed, and it would be terrible."

IT WOULDN'T BE TERRIBLE. PLEASE DO THIS.
