Infomercials are slowly dying out (we assume). People are too savvy now. It's all about the clicks, not the TV.
But there's another reason. You see, infomercials try to make you want something you don't need, and to do it, they try to make everyday tasks look stupidly difficult.
Which means that people fail incredibly hard while doing normal things.
We don't know how well these infomercials worked when measured by selling the product they're advertising, but in terms of LOLs, they've done very, very well indeed.
