Wanna hear news on how you're next gonna get screwed up on dating apps?
'Course you do!
'Kittenfishing' is a thing now - and you've probably already experienced it.
See, it's the new term for a lighter version of 'catfishing' (pretending to be someone you're 100% not, to lure a potential date).
'Kittenfishing' could be flooding your profile with flattering photos that are five years old, making out like you've travelled the world when in fact you've left your hometown three times, or saying you're 5"9 when you're actually 4"9.
‘We have to wonder if people think this is harmless or if people do it intentionally,’ love coach Nikki Leigh told Bustle.
‘They may figure they’ll shave a few (or more) years off their age to make themselves seem more attractive to grab a person’s attention. Or they may post a picture when they were thinner, so they can get more attention in the beginning.'
Sounds like something we've ALL come across... and if we're reeeally honest? Might've done a once or twice ourselves...
