South Park Takes A Shot At Harvey Weinstein In This Week’s Episode

Ouch.

You’d have to have been hidden under a rock to not have noticed the news about Harvey Weinstein.

After an expose in the New York Times and a further piece in the New Yorker, the Hollywood producer has been accused of sexual assault and rape.

Numerous high profile actresses have come forward with similar stories involving Weinstein placing them in sexually threatening positions, such as Angelina Jolie, Cara Delevingne, Gweneth Paltrow and Rose McGowen.

In true South Park fashion, there is no subject too hot or taboo to get into the show, and the Harvey Weinstein story is no different. In this week’s episode, the writers take a jibe at the producer after Cartman and his gang storm the house of someone who’s unfollowed them and ask for an explanation.

“Because you victimise innocent people and poop in little girls’ mouths,” the character Wilson Aubrey says, to which Cartman replies,  “That’s not true, we’re... not Harvey Weinstein”.

Weinstein is now being investigated by US and UK police over the sexual assault accusations.

Don't miss South Park on Fridays at 10 pm on Comedy Central.
