THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS. Matt LeBlanc finally comes to visit us in the UK, AND he rides around on London buses (!) and what do we do? We're mean to him in the papers.
The Mirror has printed a story claiming Matt told them he had a "nervous breakdown" after Friends ended.
“For years and years, I barely left the house. I was burnt out. I wanted to not have a schedule, not be somewhere. I was in a position to do that. My agent was bummed. Most actors call their agents and say, ‘What’s going on?’. I’d call mine and say, ‘Please lose my number for a few years’. It was a very dark time. I almost had a nervous breakdown," they reported him saying.
But now Matt has spoken out on Twitter, claiming he never said that and it's all dirty, dirty lies.
Hey,to clarify,I never had a nervous breakdown nor did I do an interview with the Mirror in the UK. So don't believe the hype. But thanks— Matt LeBlanc (@Matt_LeBlanc) February 8, 2016
So don't believe any rumours you see floating around today, and stay safe in the knowledge that Matt's answer to "How you doin?" is and always will be, a very simple: "Alright, actually."
