"SHUT UP!" It's been 15 goddamn years since Mia Thermopolis' classic 90s makeover in The Princess Diaries, taking her from geek girl to sassy princess (personally, we thought she was fine before - and that fireman's pole in her bedroom was fucking awesome).
Like the rest of us, Anne Hathaway (who played the soon-to-be-Royal) can't believe how long it has been.
She posted an emotional tribute to the cast and crew who helped propel her to fame, saying how much she missed them:
It's been 15 years (say it with me) SHUT UP!!!!! To all the fans who have loved Mia, Louie, Lily, Joe, Michael and, of course, Queen Clarisse, thank you from the bottom of my heart! And to Garry Marshall, thank you for making me a princess. I love you always my beloved friend and teacher, and I miss you every day xx
Ugh, that gif <3
Her message contained an emotional tribute to the movies' director Garry Marshall, who unforunately died in July after suffering from pneuonia aged 81.
"And to Garry Marshall, thank you for making me a princess. I love you always my beloved friend and teacher, and I miss you every day xx.’
