It’s a good job Game Of Thrones fans are used to waiting, isn’t it?
The show has been missing from our lives for THREE WHOLE MONTHS now, and as we won’t get to see it until summer 2017, we’re going to have to make do with unreliable spoilers and baseless speculation for the foreseeable future.
This latest rumour, though, actually sounds pretty plausible.
Watcher On The Wall reports that a major reckoning’s a-coming between Yara (Gemma Whelan) and Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) and their evil uncle Euron (Pilou Asbaek).
So far, so predictable. BUT, there’s also chatter that one of the Greyjoy siblings will be kidnapped… and, let’s face it, probably die in the process as the ironborn prepare to presumably do battle at sea. (Well, they’re boat people - where else would they do it? Plus, GoT hasn’t had a good sea battle since the shit hit the fan on the Blackwater in Season 2.)
AND, fans reckon that Euron will abandon his plans to, erm, ‘seduce’ returning conquerer and Queen of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), ditching her in favour of getting cosy with ruling Queen and murderous nutbag, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).
Sounds like a match made in heaven.
Other predictions include the death of one of the Sand Snakes (no idea which one, tbh), the long-awaited return of Gendry (Joe Dempsey), and of course the inevitable invasion of the White Walkers.
Also, Sophie Turner has revealed she was “actually speechless” when she read Sansa's script for the first time. “This season is unbelievable and I think fans are going to be really satisfied,” she told E! “It's crazy."
Just 11 months to wait, people. Just 11 months.
