Turns Out Chicken Nuggets Do Have Four Exact Shapes - And They Have NAMES

The 'bow-tie' is totally our fave.

Chicken nuggets are life. But did you know that the gnarly shapes they come in are actually FOUR, VERY SPECIFIC ones made in a COOKIE CUTTER?!

Well now you do. And they have *names*.

The BELL

The BOW-TIE

The BALL

And our personal fave, THE BOOT.

McDonald's Canada explained the shape variations on their website:

"The 4 shapes we make Chicken McNuggets in was the perfect equilibrium of dipability and fun. 3 would've been too few. 5 would've been, like, wacky.

For now, our McNugget shapes are: the “ball,” the “boot,” the “bow-tie” and the “bell".

"We also make them similar in size to ensure consistent cooking times for food safety. Thanks for your question, Stew."

Stew, whoever you are, we thank you too.
