We Just Noticed That May 18th Is A Monumental Day In Friends' History

THAT'S TODAY.

GUYS, YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT HAPPENED TODAY.

No, it's not that a dinosaur died a million years ago (try 65 million years ago, and then try SSSHHH), but that today is the anniversary of both the most heartbreaking and the most romantic moments in Friends' entire history.

On the 18th May (THAT'S TODAY, GUYS, DID WE MENTION? TODAY) "The One Where Rachel Finds Out" first aired in 1995. In case you need refreshing (for shame), that's when this happened:

The pain. The horror. The Julie.

But ALSO on the 18th May (we'll stop abusing the capslock button soon, we swear) Chandler and Monica's proposal (parts one and two) first aired in the year 2000.

SO TODAY IS THE DAY OUR HEARTS WERE BOTH BROKEN AND THEN FIXED AND ALSO WE LIED ABOUT THAT CAPSLOCK THING.

Weirdly enough, we've also discovered that all of the most romantic and heartbreaking Friends moments happened in the month of May (that's because the seasons typically ran from September to May, so that's when things had to hot up). Here are some other anniversaries on which both tragic and uber romantic things happened on the same day in May.
